To meet the diverse needs of academia and public health researchers, Ametris offers two powerful software platforms for collecting and processing ActiGraph device data, ActiLife and CentrePoint.
ActiLife
This desktop software is the most popular option used by academic researchers. This software offers maximum flexibility, including analysing data from an unlimited number of participants and re-analysing data files with different parameters. ActiLife’s robust screening and analysis toolkit allows users to process and score collected data using a comprehensive selection of independently developed and validated algorithms.

CentrePoint
The cloud-based CentrePoint platform solves many of the operational and logistical challenges associated with large-scale, multi-site research studies. To simplify device deployment and reduce errors, studies are preconfigured and collected data uploaded remotely — providing the research team with near real-time information about wear compliance, participant activity, and sleep behaviours. Data uploads can be made wirelessly via the CentrePoint Connect app or CentrePoint Data Hub, or wired via the ActiSync program.

STEP 3: ADD WEAR ACCESSORIES & CHARGER
Each ActiGraph device is supplied as the watch face only. Wear accessories (such as wristbands, arm/ankle bands or waistbands) and charging accessories are not included, as these are selected based on your specific study requirements and device configuration.

Please note: The LEAP charger is required for both charging and device communication and is compatible only with the ActiGraph LEAP device.

SAMPLE QUOTES
Example 1 – ActiGraph wGT3X-BT Research Study
STUDY REQUIREMENTS
This example is for a research project requiring 50 ActiGraph wGT3X-BT devices for continuous, real-world monitoring of activity, mobility and sleep in an adult population.
The preferred wear location is the wrist, with participants requiring a combination of short and long woven nylon wristbands.
The study will include a combination of participants who can return devices to the research institute and participants located remotely. The system therefore needs to support both centralised multi-device charging/download and individual remote charging.
Devices will also need to be configured and downloaded across multiple computers, while the complete dataset will be brought together on one central PC for full analysis.
Example 2 – ActiGraph LEAP Pro Remote Research Study
STUDY REQUIREMENTS
This example is for a research project requiring 20 ActiGraph LEAP™ Pro devices to collect comprehensive digital measures across activity, sleep, mobility and physiological monitoring.
The study has a particular interest in heart rate (HR) and inter-beat interval (IBI) data, but does not require SpO₂ monitoring. Based on these measurement requirements, the LEAP Pro provides the appropriate device configuration without adding functionality that is not required by the study.
Participants are adults and the preferred wear location is the wrist. Two wristband sizes are therefore included to accommodate different adult wrist sizes. Silicone rubber wristbands are selected to support easier cleaning and infection-control procedures between participants.
Importantly, participants will be located in rural and remote locations, making remote data transfer a key requirement. A cloud-based CentrePoint workflow is therefore selected rather than relying on participants returning devices to a central research site for routine data download.
The study is expected to run for 2 years (24 months) and participants will retain their devices during participation. Each participant therefore requires access to their own charger for self-charging.
