BiLevel-ST therapy with adjustable target volume.

The prisma30ST is the device of choice for patients suffering from respiratory insufficiency, such as position-dependent hypoventilation and/or COPD, and simultaneously exhibiting sleep-related breathing disorders. A wide pressure range, various automatic functions as well as process and comfort-supporting features enable a safe, effective, and whisper-quiet BiLevel ST therapy made in Germany.

The Löwenstein prisma30ST is a bi-level ST device designed for non-invasive ventilation in patients requiring pressure support and a safety backup rate. It supports patients with hypoventilation syndromes, COPD, neuromuscular disorders, and complex sleep-disordered breathing.

The advantages of prisma30ST
Thanks to the unique autoS/T mode with adjustable target volume as well as autoEPAP and back-up rate, the prisma30ST offers comfortable ventilation, enabling rapid and sustainable successful therapeutic success. With a variety of ventilation modes and a wide pressure range of 4-30 hPa, individual therapy settings can be made, generating either natural or synchronous breathing as needed.

  • BiLevel S and ST therapy modes
  • Automatic and manual backup rate
  • Target tidal volume support
  • Advanced trigger and cycle sensitivity adjustment
  • softPAP pressure relief
  • Leak compensation
  • Integrated therapy data recording
  • Humidifier and heated tube compatibility
  • Connectivity via SD, USB and modem for telemonitoring and data transfer

Flexible parameterisation
A target volume can be set between 300 ml and 2,000 ml on the prisma30ST. It is also possible to define SCOPES for indication-specific pre-settings and a quick therapy start, which makes the adjustment easier for the user.

BiLevel flexibility
In addition to the adjustable target volume, the prisma30ST also offers maximum BiLevel flexibility. The additional pressure relief (Bi soft 1/2), the automatically regulated pressure difference (autoPDIFF) and the autoTriLevel for additional and safe breathing comfort make this high level of flexibility possible.

Deep sleep and respiratory stability indicators
The deep sleep and respiratory stability indicator prisma RECOVER continuously evaluates the breathing pattern during therapy and identifies phases of stable respiration. indicative of deep sleep, a particularly restorative phase of sleep. Even in BiLevel modes, phases of particularly stable respiration are also recognized and displayed. This means that, for the first time, successful therapy can also be evaluated in terms of sleep quality in prisma JOURNAL, prisma APP, prismaTS or in telemonitoring with prisma CLOUD.

Sensorless intelligent humidification
When using the prismaAQUA humidifier, smartAQUAcontrol can optionally be switched on: to quickly warm up the applied flow at the start of therapy and to ensure humidifier performance during periods of increased leakage. prismaAQUA can optionally be operated with a heated circuit.

Fall asleep comfortably - softSTART
The softSTART function can be activated to help you fall asleep and slowly acclimate to therapy pressure during the sleep phase. This ensures a slow increase in pressure over a set period until therapy pressure is reached. This is particularly useful for patients who find high pressure uncomfortable while awake and cannot fall asleep.

Pressure relief softPAP
For comfortable expiration during therapy, the pressure in CPAP and autoCPAP mode is reduced at the start of expiration and increased to therapy pressure in time for the start of the inhalation phase to facilitate exhalation as much as possible and effectively prevent events.

Pressure reaction fits patient’s needs
Patients react with varying sensitivity to pressure adjustments. For effective therapy and breathing comfort, two options for pressure adjustments are available in APAP mode. In addition, a pressure increases at closed central events is avoided.

Effortless and consistent application
The combination of a large screen (touch, LED) and intelligent menu navigation makes operation intuitive and fast. It's the ideal support for your various work processes.

Precise event recognition
With the help of “Forced Oscillation Technique” (FOT) in modes without back-up frequency or with “Forced Breath Technology” (FBT) in modes with backup frequency, reliably precise differentiation is made between central and obstructive apnea. Hypopnea too is reliably differentiated and recognised, as are other events such as Cheyne-Stokes respiration, flow limitations, snoring and RERA.
